A Life Poured Out

A life poured out,

  An offering for me.

His blood was shed,

  To set me free.

A life poured out,

  Like water it ran.

I see God’s Son,

  Some see a man.

A life poured out,

  His soul laid bare.

To show God’s love,

  His grace declare.

A man like Paul,

  That love received.

Once bound with sin,

  Christ has freed.

His life poured out,

  In service for Him.

A labor of love,

  His race to win.

An offering to God,

  His life poured out.

“I’ve finished my course!”

  His joyful shout.

And I, like Paul,

  Who ran his race.

Desire to yield,

To God’s sweet grace.

And offer this vessel,

  In service for Him.

My life poured out,

  My race to win.
