MAIL FROM NIGERIA AND INDIA

Nigeria
Dear Davis,
Glorious Gospel Magazine is a special tool to us here. I have two separate Ministers training conferences this month of March that I will be sharing copies of the Magazine.
Postal system in this country is something else. They wanted to extort money from me and I refused, I didn’t know they will return the parcel. I am so sorry for the inconveniences it has cost you. I promise it will not repeat again.
Thanks for your understanding. Izuka Elkanah O. Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria, W Africa

INDIA
Dearly Beloved,
Greetings to you in the name of our Resurrected Lord Jesus - what a great joy that our Lord Jesus is alive. 1 Corinthians 15: 20 says, “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep.” Jesus was crucified, died and was buried but, Hallelujah, He rose from the dead. That is the story of gospel - the three basic facts. These are not doctrines, these are not philosophies, these are not ideas that men have. These are simple, but hard facts that occurred in the history that cannot be eliminated, these facts have changed the history of the world. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-11 says, First, Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. Jesus died as substitute in our place, for our sins. Christ bore in His body, our sins, our curse and our unbelief. He died in the place of a sinner. Many men have died as martyrs for good causes, but only one Man, Jesus Christ, died for sinners. Second, He was buried in a tomb and it was that dead body that rose from the grave alive again. His tomb is still empty. For two thousand years, infidels and atheists have been trying to explain the empty tomb and none of their explanations are valid. Third, He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. Paul in II Corinthians 15: 5-8 gives eye witness evidences that the resurrection of Christ actually happened. First, He appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve after which He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at the same time. Then He appeared to James, last of all He appeared to Paul as well. Though Paul was a persecutor of believers, though he was not worthy of salvation or apostleship, though he deserved nothing but hell, it was the grace of God that that saved him. Paul did not choose God but God sought him and chose him for salvation and service. He made him the greatest apostle of all time. It is because of grace - God’s amazing grace. As people saved by grace, let us not keep silent, but let us proclaim this good news of resurrection of Jesus to every one and pray that they should be saved.
The whole world is in panic and fear because of the Corona Virus threat. Let us pray that God in His mercy would forgive the iniquities of the people and save mankind from all calamities. John 14:6, “Jesus (said), “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (NIV)

WHAT A FRIEND!!!

It has been said that the World today courtesy Globalization resembles a spider’s web. Well…the unique thing about the spider’s web is that you touch any part of it, the whole web starts vibrating in due course. So it’s hardly surprising that the Friendship day first “pioneered” and heralded by a small South American Country namely Paraguay on 20th July, 1958 would have its ramifications on the whole world what with UN Declaring in due course (on April 27th, 2011) that “World Friendship Day” would be observed on July 30th of every year. In India we celebrate it on every first Sunday of August.
Be that as it may, the immortal song “What a friend, we have in Jesus” was written by a faithful Christian Joseph Scriven long before (in 1856) the first Friendship day was observed globally. He who had experienced Lord’s inimitable friendly embrace (read great comfort- 2 Cor 1:3-4) in the midst of his own personal tragedies let his sentiments from deep within his heart flow copiously out in the form of that memorable song.
Let it be said that it takes a great act of selfless love to win over the heart of a person. Our Lord’s friendship credentials of portraying sacrificial love is best captured in this Scripture portion which reads thus…”For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,…”- Rom 5:10.
Hey, we have heard that heroes’ are born to kill enemies. Indian Scriptures for instance abound with tales of donning of avatars’ by deities specifically for destroying evil men but how’s this for reversal of roles? Here we have the sinless, Holy one of Eternity donning “flesh and blood” specifically for dying for the “eternal spiritual welfare” (read salvation) of His enemies who wouldn’t hesitate to crucify Him! When the import of this sacrifice registers on any sane individual, his natural response would be of seeking friendship with such an individual who would go to any extent for ensuring the former’s welfare. I am no exception either. On October 16th, 1983 as the nuances of the Gospel were being explained to me, I sought and sealed my “Friendship pact” with the ONE who stooped (to what levels!- Phil 2:4-11) to conquer my heart.
There are no secrets hidden between friends. Do you have any pressing problems the details of which cannot be revealed to anyone of this World? Then do as Joseph Scriven, bring it in prayer before your most trustworthy friend…Jesus. Does God hide His plans from His friends? No way!!! “Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence Him” declares the Psalmist. He goes on to add “With them alone he shares the secrets of his promises.” (Psalm 25:14 – TLB).
“The Bible was composed in such a way that as beginners mature, its meaning grows with them.” Meaning as our Friendship with our Lord grows deeper and deeper more and more treasures of it (secrets) become accessible to us, making us fall in greater love with Revealer of the same (Dan. 2:22)! Oh what a friend, we have in Jesus who besides comforting us at all times keeps also confiding the Heavenly matters with us, even as we grow in Him!!! Hallelujah!!

Team Uppahar, India

Dearly Beloved,

Greetings to you all in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let our hearts be filled with gratitude as we enter this new month which our Lord has graciously given us. This month on August 15th we are celebrating the 73rd Independence Day. Let us thank God for our country and never forget to pray for its peace and prosperity and the real independent from the bondage of Satan.

Matthew 9:36-38 says that as Jesus looked upon the multitudes that had gathered around Him - the helpless and hopeless. He was moved with compassion. Why? Because, first, Jesus saw that they had departed from God. They were scattered. They were like sheep outside the fold without company or fellowship. They were away from the Shepherd without guidance or protection. Second, Jesus saw that they were dead in their transgressions and sins. They were lost under a burdensome load of sin. They were ruled by the spirit of disobedience and rebellion. Third, Jesus saw that they were destined to go to hell. He could see their end from the beginning. He knew that apart from Him, they would not be saved. Fourth, Jesus saw their despair without a shepherd. They did not have a right spiritual leader. They knew nothing about the blessings of the Church the joy and peace that comes in the fellowship of believers.
Beloved, the people of our country and the world at large have gone away from God. They do not have a right relationship with Him. They are dead in their sin. They need to be reached by soul winners who have great passion for souls as that of Jesus. Do we have such a compassionate heart? Are our hearts broken because our people do not know the Savior? Jesus calls us to do two things. First, Visualize - See the harvest! Millions of people are rushing to hell everyday to face eternal condemnation. They need Jesus who alone can save their souls. Let us enter the field and harvest the crop - the souls of our dear ones, for Jesus before they perish. Second, we need to agonize in prayer - Jesus said, “Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers for His harvest field.” We have to constantly pray to the Lord to raise up more men and women to go and work in His field. Our Lord has given us the greatest job the world has ever known! Let us rise up now and do our part cheerfully.

We thank God for our CDO’s, VDW’s and leaders who are in the harvest field. Please uphold them in your prayers. We plan to have more spiritual program from September to February 2020. We would like to count all His blessings since last 20 years he has done we have experienced. Praise the Lord!

Please continue to pray for the ministry, safety of visitors who will be ministering to us and encouraging from the Word of God.

God bless. Yours in His service,

FROM OUR MAIL BOX

FROM OUR MAIL BOX

A note from David Cloud who has ministered many years in Mexico and printed gospel material for distribution there.
Worthy of Praise and Prayer
Our friend, who has not returned to Mexico for almost two years, last night received a call from the pastor of one of the churches he pioneered many years ago. As related to me, a relative of the pastor was offered a night job and was told where and when to meet for work. After arriving, four men grabbed him, beat on him, and held a knife to his throat while trying to get information about how to contact the “gringo” for money. Apparently they were persuaded he could not give them the information they wanted, so with threats they cut off a finger and sent him away. This has the POTENTIAL of becoming a series  of harassments and danger for the whole family. If our friend continues to be in contact with, and help his “beloved children” in their needs, the evil demands for funds could spiral beyond the ability to provide – increasing the danger to the individuals. Our brother needs wisdom and is calling upon the Lord. Please join him – any of us would want to help our family in need.
This same principal could happen to us, as we were the providers for the two churches – making us the “rich Americans” and subjecting the saints to possible extortion, and becoming hostages or worse. As yet, we have not had any signs of that kind of activity. But we do not plan on helping the saints in any way, nor being present with any of them.
