Read Acts 1:2-5 and verse 8, and 12-14.

In these verses we read that the disciples obeyed Jesus.

They went to Jerusalem to an upper room. This means a room on the second floor. They were praying and seeking God.

They didn’t understand what was going to happen. They only knew that Jesus had promised to send them the Holy Spirit, the Comforter.

In Acts 2:1-4, we read that as they were waiting a great sound from heaven came like a GREAT WIND.

It filled all the house where they were sitting. Little flames of fire came and sat upon their heads.

They were filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came into their lives just as Jesus had told them. John 14:17.
