FORGED

In my line of work, we use metal forgings. A forging is made by applying an extreme amount of pressure to a red hot piece of metal to form it into a desired shape. Many times, the world does the same to the child of God. Using extreme pressure, and heat, the world tries to mold us into their desired shape.

In Rom 12:2, Paul tells us not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. It is easy to just allow the world to form us in their mold. God wants us to allow Him to transform us into someone that brings glory to Him. God wants to renew or renovate your understanding. This is accomplished as the Holy Spirit reveals the Word of God to your heart.

God will change your mind to understand His will, and His Word. Your understanding will be completely different from that of the world. The philosophies of the world will become useless, and even seem strange to you as God changes your mind. 1 Cor 3:19.

Many of God’s people are beginning to think and act like the world. There seems to be no difference between the Christian and the nonchristian. When we talk of this world, we are referring to the world system. The way they think (philosophies) and the way they act. God calls us out from the world, and does not want us to be in bondage anymore to this world. 2 Cor 6:14. Eph 4:17

If we are just like all the rest of the world, we cannot bring glory to God. This world is not glorifying God. Lets us not be forged into the mold of the world, but be changed in our understanding by the Holy Spirit.
