Does God Exist?

This question has been posed by millions of people through the history of mankind. Intellectuals, philosophers, students, kings, peasants and every class of people of every country have asked this question. "Intellectuals" of our day, through the advancements of science have finally come to the conclusion that there is no God. They think they are real smart. In reality their "discovery" is nothing new. Men have known for ages now that there is no God. Even from the beginning of time. Today it is being taught starting in our grade schools all the way through college.

I would like to pose a different question though. I cannot "prove" that God exist, but can you prove that He doesn't? I believe the real question is not "Does God exist," but rather, "WHAT IF GOD DOES NOT EXIST?" Think about this.

If God does not exist, what is the meaning of life?! If God does not exist then there is no heaven or hell. There is no resurrection. There is no life hereafter. That means that this life is it. If this life is all that there is then WHY LIVE? I mean face it. You are born. You grow up. You go to school. You get a job, get married have children, retire and die. That's the end. THE END. What do you live for? There is no hope.

This is what our children are being taught. And they wonder why we have school shootings, homicides, suicides and other social ills. If there is no God there is no morality. There is no judgment and there is no absolute truth. If there is no judgment to come, no day of reckoning. Then why not live to the fullest? Follow every desire. Live only for myself. If there is no God, no eternity, no judgment then, who cares whom I hurt? I will live life to the fullest, eat and drink and tomorrow we might die. (1Corinthians 15:32)

If there is no God, there is no morality and homosexuality is simply a "life style." Live in partners is fine. If there is no God there is no limit to what I can do. "If it feels good, it must be OK."

Solomon, yes Solomon the great king of Israel. The wisest man alive, decided one day to live life to the fullest and see what life is all about. He took God out of the picture because, as you know, there are many "limitations" with God. (Don't do that, don't go there, etc., etc.) He was a wealthy man so there was no limit to what he could buy and experience. He bought it all, enjoyed it all and came to the conclusion that all people have come to without God. "ALL IS VANITY" That means that his life was EMPTY.

Hitler was a man that desired to take God out of the picture. He believed that man was it. Everything revolves around man, therefore he must create the perfect race. Eliminate all inferior races, especially those weak individuals who believe in God. His philosophy lead to a World War.

I would challenge you to share these thoughts with a friend that does not know Christ. Now I would like to pose a different question.

WHAT IF GOD DOES EXIST? If God does exist, then there is meaning to life. If God does exist then He has left us His word, His promises. Life has meaning. There is a heaven and a hell. There is a hope of eternity. There is moral law in the Word of God. We call it Holiness or Sanctification. If God does exist there is also a day of judgment. A day when all those who live their life as if God does not exist will be faced with His reality. There will also be a day of judgment for believers. Those who have accepted Christ as Savior and Lord will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give account for their lives.

How about you? Do you believe there is a God? Do you live your life to please Him? The Apostle Paul said: "for me to live is Christ." Paul found his satisfaction in Christ. The church today says it doesn't have an answer to the school shooting and other world events. HOW SAD!
