REPORT & REVELATIONIsaiah 53:1 outline “Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?” Actually all of God’s Word is indeed a good and true report. All that God has spoken concerning His Son is to be believed. God has used many types and kinds of messengers that could say... “Our report in reality is His.” Shall we think of a report as a message sent forth to be heard, and produce faith, in receptive hearers? Rom. 10:16,17. What about revelation as a mystery to be seen, taken in, and understood. Now if the report is not believed, the revelation will not be received. How else can we know and realize the glorious blessings, and gracious benefits from the extension of Jehovah’s great arm? Let us be glad that we have the privilege of believing the true gospel report on the life and work of Jesus Christ. Faith therein wonderfully opens the door into knowing the arm of the Lord? That arm is at work drawing mankind unto Himself, out of such a horrible pit; onto a prosperous journey, and into that which satisfies His and my heart. Oh, beloved are you knowing His arm as you walk with Him today? Read John’s record in John 12:35-41, and Roman 10:16. Jesus Christ the personal extension of our God’s great love toward His fallen creation. Jesus and Paul quote from Isaiah 53, in these passages. To close ones eyes against divine light, tends toward spiritual darkness, To stop ones ears against the Word of life is to gain dulness of hearing, and to lack spiritual understanding. Take heed how you hear! “We ought to give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard from God’s enlightening Word. Jesus said let these sayings sink down into your ears. In John 12:40, we may hear God’s answer to unbelief. BUT oh, the joy to read and consider God’s answer to simple faith. II Cor. 2:9-12. He has told and foretold, told and retold “His-story.” God has told by Jesus of his great loving and giving, and of our believing and having eternal life and never perishing. John 3:16. We do well to be able to grasp the extension of God’s liberating love, and great grace. He reaches out from an holy and righteous throne down to a desperate, deeply fallen race. J. D. |

The Need And The SupplyFor bread alone to still; The void within too vast for aught Save deathless love to fill. Where shall I find the nourishment That satisfied the soul? Where is the potent remedy That makes the sin-sick whole? O Love that died for me, Thou art My only resting place; The answer to my deepest need I read is Jesus’ face. Max I. Reich |
