Dimensions OF DIVINE LOVE

Part 2

LOVE’S HEIGHTS

How are we able to comprehend God’s knowledge surpassing love? “Deep calleth unto deep, at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and billows are gone over me.” Ps. 42:7. His Love is able to search the very depths of our being, and bring us to the depths of the heart of our Lord. The great depth of our desperate need, calls for the depth of His great love. The depth of the riches of His love, having the capacity to reach down unto the depth of our deepest poverty, placed our dear Lord, into the most horrifying position, to bear divine wrath against our sin. This was also to be the means whereby He could lift us unto amazing heights.

Hanna’s wonderful song of deliverance, tells us of the glorious working of our Lord’s uplifting hand. “The Lord... bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. The Lord maketh poor, and he maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dung hill, to set them among princes, and to make them to inherit the throne of glory...” I Sam. 2:6-8.

Who is able to measure such unfathomable work of love? Rev. 1:5,6, “....Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Oh thank God, for an opportunity to know this quality of his person, to love, loose and lift us on high.

The love of God, in Christ Jesus has brought in a better and enduring hope, by which we draw nigh unto God. The marvelous magnetism of the law of love grows ever the stronger as we realize that, He is able to save unto the uttermost, them that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for us. Our High Priest, made for a little while lower than the angels for the suffering of death is now higher than the heavens. He is now at work to bring us into the enjoyment of salvation unto the highest realm. HALLELUJAH!

LOVE’S BREADTH

The breadth of God’s love has it all covered. Jesus’ sacrificial love was wide enough to cover all our sin. It is available for the whole world, and placed at the disposal of faith. Jesus died for the ungodly. Oh yes, His love is able to entirely surround us around, and around and around. This is the best wrap around to enfold, enclose, and clothe the objects of his love.

Jesus said, “All that the Father giveth me shall come unto me: and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” Our Father, out of love, chasteneth every son he receiveth. Now why would our wise Father take time to correct us if He was going to cast us out? John 6:37. If He does by Love enfold us, is He also able hold us?

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me: I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father which gave them me is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” John 10:27-29.

Are we able to sense the breadth of divine Love. It has double thickness, for our life is hid with Christ in God. Col. 3:1-3. Is anyone, or anything able to overpower Him? Are we not bound in a bundle of life with the Lord our God? Is Romans 8:28 true? If He is making all things work together for our good, how could He cast us out of His family? How about Vs. 35 to 39? Who shall separate us from the Love of Christ? Are we to be more than conquerors through him that Loved us? What is able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus Our Lord? Our apostle places before us mountains of difficulty. He also urges us on with mountains of delight. Shall such love constrain us to live for Him who died for us? Shall it not compel us to draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith?

LOVE’S LENGTH

When did God’s love begin? How long will it last? When will it end? GOD IS LOVE. Is He not from everlasting to everlasting? He tells his people, that He has loved us with an everlasting love, and that underneath are his everlasting arms.
